Jason P. Galante, DPM, AASPS

Jason P. Galante, DPM, FACFAS, FACFAOM

Dr. Jason P. Galante is a podiatrist with Essex Union Podiatry who specializes in:

  • Foot and ankle surgery
  • Forefoot, rearfoot and ankle care
  • Lower extremity limb salvage and wound care

Triple board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Galante is certified in hyperbaric medicine with additional expertise in the following areas:

  • Foot and ankle reconstruction
  • Foot and ankle deformity correction
  • Foot and ankle arthritis care
  • Ankle arthroscopy
  • Foot and ankle sports medicine
  • Pediatric reconstruction

Dr. Galante completed his residency at Hoboken University Medical Center in Hoboken, NJ and was appointed Chief Surgical Resident during his training. In addition, he has received his medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University.

He has trained with the team surgeons for the professional football teams, the New York Jets and the New York Giants currently holds membership with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeon, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society.

Dr. Galante is one of the few physicians in New Jersey that is well-versed in cosmetic foot and ankle surgery and specializes in using the latest techniques to address difficult deformities with minimal scarring. With an emphasis on non-surgical treatment options, he has been especially popular with our pediatric patients.

He is available to treat patients in most of Essex and Union counties at our Springfield, Caldwell and Rahway offices in New Jersey as well as the Wound Care Center in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway, NJ.

Dr. Galante is passionate about health and fitness and has trained in various martial arts for over 25 years. He is married and lives with his wife and children in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr Marshall Feldman

Marshall R. Feldman, DPM, FASPS

Dr. Marshall R. Feldman is a podiatrist with Essex Union Podiatry specializing in wound care. Board certified in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Feldman also has expertise in:

  • Adult and geriatric foot pathologies
  • Diabetic neuropathy
  • Endoscopic plantar fasciotomy
  • Extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) of the heel
  • Laser treatment for nail fungus
  • Laser/radio ablation for plantar fasciitis
  • Pediatric foot and ankle deformities
  • Sports-related injuries of the foot and ankle
  • Wound care specialist
  • Foot and ankle surgery
  • Pediatric orthopedic deformities of the lower extremity

In addition to his position at EUP, Dr. Feldman is Chairman of the Podiatric Surgery Division at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) at Rahway in Rahway, NJ as well as a treating physician at the Wound Care Center of RWJUH at Rahway.

Dr. Feldman completed his podiatric surgical residency at Kensington Hospital and received his medical degree from the School of Podiatric Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.

He is currently a Fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons (ASPS) and the former President of the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society.

An avid runner and golfer, Dr. Feldman has treated numerous sports-related injuries of the foot and ankle throughout the course of his career. He can provide helpful tips to the “weekend warrior” in order to help prevent these injuries in the future.

Nancy A. Kaplan, DPM, FASPS

Nancy A. Kaplan, DPM, MBA, AACHE, FACFAS

Dr. Nancy Kaplan is a podiatrist with Essex Union Podiatry specializing in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, including:

  • Arthroscopic surgery
  • Cosmetic surgery
  • Sports injuries
  • Foot salvage
  • Laser surgery
  • Diabetic foot care and neuropathy
  • Pediatric foot conditions
  • Treatment of bunion and flatfoot deformity

Dr. Kaplan served as the President of the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society and was the first female podiatrist to hold the position.

She completed her surgical residency at Livingston Community Hospital in Livingston, NJ and earned her medical degree with honors from New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York, NY.

Dr. Kaplan is pleased to offer non-invasive (or minimally invasive) techniques in treating foot and ankle disorders and is passionate about preventing diabetic complications. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and activity levels, creating customized treatment plans that provide relief and fit individual needs.

In addition, Dr. Kaplan is a published author on foot surgery and holds staff positions at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ, Saint Barnabas Medical Center and Saint Barnabas Ambulatory Surgical Center.

In her spare time, Dr. Kaplan is an avid gardener, amateur chef and breeder of black-headed Dorper sheep. She is married and has two children.

Sarah E. Haller, DPM

Sarah E. Haller, DPM, AACFAS

Dr. Haller is a fellowship trained foot and ankle surgeon at Essex Union Podiatry with a professional focus on musculoskeletal deformities, sports medicine, post-traumatic reconstruction and revision surgery of the foot and ankle. She has expertise with conditions managed optimally with conservative care and the ability to advance to surgical intervention, when it is the appropriate course. She is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery for forefoot and hindfoot surgery.

In addition to her position with the practice, Dr. Haller also reviews evidence-based manuscripts for the journal Foot and Ankle Specialist.  She has presented a multitude of posters at international orthopedic seminars and has authored a chapter on bilateral bunion reconstruction.

Dr. Haller completed her foot and ankle surgical fellowship at the Weil Foot & Ankle Institute in Chicago, Illinois.  She finished her residency in foot and ankle surgery at Hoboken University Medical Center, where she served as Chief Foot and Ankle Surgical Resident in Hoboken, New Jersey. She received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and her undergraduate degree in biology from Columbia College.

Dr. Haller also has several advanced certifications, including:

  • Arthroscopy Associate of North America (AANA)
  • Advanced Internal Fixation/Reconstructive Surgery of the Foot and Ankle (AAFAO)
  • Comprehensive Internal Fixation/Reconstructive Surgery of the Foot and Ankle (AAFAO)

When she isn’t busy extensively scouring the library or exploring the New York food scene, Dr. Haller enjoys yoga and participating in outdoor activities with her faithful Labrador.
